Emily Simms is a certified nurse midwife and board certified lactation consultant. She was a labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery nurse for seven years prior to graduating with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in midwifery. After graduation, she began providing women's health, prenatal, and lactation care, as well as attending births, at a freestanding birth center and at home until she moved to the Houston area in 2023. You can find her practicing at Opulence Health and Wellness in Pearland, providing compassionate, individualized care to women throughout the life span, from puberty to menopause and beyond. 

She believes in listening to clients and offering evidence-based care to help them achieve their own personal wellness goals. The midwifery model of care is built upon a trusting relationship, so establishing that partnership and facilitating a safe place for clients of all diverse backgrounds is her highest priority. Having had three babies herself, two in the hospital and one at home, she understands the value of a trusted midwife to provide individualized care that meets your needs!
