I am the owner, Director and Senior Midwife at Jubilee Birth Center.

I earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Mobile, where I achieved a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Business Administration, with a minor in Biology. My mathematics degree is actually used in midwifery in figuring angles and vectors for getting babies to come out, my business administration has been helpful in running a business, and of course biology is involved in the science of midwifery.

I have been a midwife since 1985 and an ICEA childbirth instructor since 1988. I completed the certification process to become a Certified Professional Midwife in 1996. I currently hold a Texas Department of Health Services Midwifery License. In my spare time I have been married to Monte for 40 years and we have raised ten children.

Currently, we have been blessed to have twenty-four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Seven of my biological children were born at home and I have been blessed to deliver five of my grandchildren and two of my great-grandchildren.
