"Adilah Yelton, LM, CPM, is a mother of four and a wife to a veteran. Born in Saudi Arabia, she grew up moving across the world as an oil industry baby, living in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Scotland, Texas, and New York. She considers Houston her home, having spent most of her life here. She attended University of North Texas for Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics before discovering her passion for birth work.
Her journey into birth support began after her first daughter’s birth in 2015. While living in New York City, she experienced firsthand the invaluable supportive role of a doula and a midwife. This inspired her to train as a birth doula. For eight years, she dedicated herself to providing emotional and physical support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum before starting her path to midwifery.
In 2024, Adilah graduated from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College's Direct-Entry Midwifery Program with an Associate Degree as a Certified Professional Midwife.
Adilah joined the Tulip Midwifery team in 2023. She is passionate about educating and empowering families, honoring informed choice, and helping create safe, supported, positive birth and postpartum experiences.
Adilah loves to go hunting with her father, travel the world when she gets the chance, lifting heavy at the gym, doing Pilates workouts, and enjoys staying in to watch Korean dramas with her daughters. "
